Firehouses are an American tradition. They can be found in almost every community across the country. Firehouses intrigue
both young and old. Whether it is the anticipation of an alarm, the glistening fire trucks, or the buildings architectural
style. The older houses, even ones that are no longer in service, have a special mystique about them. One can imagine the
history of fires fought and the accompanying stories from each particular house.

While visiting various
cities across America, we have found firehouse architecture to be one of the most interesting aspects of our travels. We have
developed an appreciation for the plethora of architectural styles, influences, and features such as immense stone or intricate
brick details which make each firehouse rich with history and beauty.
