The Star Trek Universe is a great background for an RPG. Unfortunately, Steve Jackson Games doesn't have the license to create a Star Trek rulebook. Last year, Amarillo Design Bureau, the producers of Star Fleet Battles, published GURPS Prime Directive which is set in the Star Fleet Universe.

 

And, several GMs created their version of GURPS Star Trek.
