In New Orleans everyone is always decorating. They
decorate floats, they decorate their houses, yards,
boats, patios,and gardens they decorate for
every holiday or celebration that comes along. Every day
is a day to celebrate with decorations and more
decorations. This little girl decided to decorate her
stepping stones ( which she makes herself) and lo and
behold her neighbors and friends starting buying them
from her and thus we have Forever Stones.

Decor |
Forever stones are handmade and gemstones are
inserted before the concrete stones are cured. They are
not glued on. They are 12"X 12" and Shar insisted
they be 2" thick so they would last forever. She also is
adamant that they must go thru the normal curing time
and not hastened by heat as they cure. She is such a
perfectionist. I wanted her to call them Perfect Stones,
but she told me " My stones are forever and I said
thats a great name and so it was "Forever Stones" Shar
does it all. She pours the concrete into molds that her
husband and her father-in-law made for her. She keeps
them wet until cured. She inserts every stone just so
and washes and sands the rough edges. It require a
lot of time, energy and muscle. But she loves them all.
She names them all. They are dear to her and will be to
