10)    Jewish Sects in the Time of Jesus.   Study the handout "Jewish Sects."  You should know how to identify each of the four groups, Pharisees, Essenes, Zealots and Sadducess.  Practice with the sample quiz questions on the back and expect  questions like these for a quick quiz next class.

Get your  bib lit  binder ready for a "Journal" check.   Make sure that it is neat, dates are put on the notes;  notes you may have missed due to absence or absent mindedness are there.  Syllabus should be in the front.  I will ask for  five items at random for ten points each. Check your binder (aka "journal") against a study buddy's.   50 points    BD (Sept 26)    ACEG (Sept 27)
