Mid-April through mid-May: Garter Snake Feeding Frenzy
at the Labyrinth - Don't miss the annual feeding frenzy at the pond at the north end of the Labyrinth.
Around the first two weeks in May, Garter snakes of the area migrate to the pond to hunt and devour on maturing
(and plump!) Tiger Salamander, as well as Pacific Tree Frog, tadpoles. Prepare to be amazed by the color saturation of Garter
snakes when seen under water, as well as their voracious appetites.
