Vanna's Story
Vanna arrived in the dark of night. In other words, she just appeared one day at the barn.
We suspect that she was dumped from a van that we saw the day before....hence the name Vanna. She was a little fluffy grey
cat that was afraid of her own shadow. We tried catching her for almost two years and this spring we were finally successful.
She was huge with a litter of soon to be born kittens. Once caught and settled in a cage to have her babies she quickly gained
confidence and became quite social.
Right after her kittens were born we noticed that she seemed to be having some breathing problems. An emergency trip to the
veterinarian, oxygen and lots of meds got her past the crisis and we hoped that all would be welll with Vanna and her babies.
For four weeks all went well. Vanna was the best mom and her babies grew into little fur balls. Then, just when we started
to really think all would be well, Vanna had a relapse of her breathing problems. This time the vet put her under anesthesia
and looked down her throat....and found a huge tumor that was in the exact place that it could not be operated on. With many
tears we held Vanna as her body went limp and her spirit flew to heaven. She leaves behind four of the cutest kittens in the
world. They spend their days playing and purring and cuddling with the humans here at the farm. They desparately want their
own families.
The kittens are available through the School House Rescue adoption agency. Please refer to our
School House Rescue web site for details

Lynn's kittens
This litter of kittens was found abandoned in a park by a kind animal lover named Lynn. She drove them to the farm...a sixty
mile round trip for her....and donated money towards their care. She is also hoping to raise the money to have them neutered
if they don't get adopted.
All the kittens in this litter are boys.
In the picture below, the kittens are hissing at Mickie who is just out of camera range.

Bully
My name is Bully and I am about 9 weeks old. (7-27-07) Don't you think I am a handsome guy...and I am very very social. My
two brothers already got a home and I'd really like someone to take me. My brothers and I were found in a park by a very kind
lady and brought to Schoolhouse Rescue/Gemini Farm where I got to meet my doctor and a whole bunch of new friends. I love
playing with other kittens, have a few doggy friends and know how to use the litter box.

Wyatt says...if I can't have kitten number 1..can I have kitten number 2 ?
