Photographic Survey of Urban and Suburban Animals
These animals are elusive, and their habitats vary. Some are cement, plaster, plastic or merely murals. They are prized by
their owners, and are symbols of our relationships with wild and domesticated animals. I keep a sharp eye peeled, as if on
a photo-safari, for sightings of these creatures. Not only do I look for interesting specimens, but also how they have been
arranged and placed in their environments. In this on-going series, I try to monitor the types of habitats in which these
animals are appearing, and the effects of urban sprawl and environmental changes on their population growth.
