Coincidentally, the band site has added me to their list of links, and I'm more than appreciative...and always humbled by how much people care.

 

Last announcement but ABSOLUTELY not least: ULTRA issue number 5 (http://www.lunabrothers.com/) is out in comic book stores today. Pick up a copy.....go! RUN!

 

Hopefully, I will soon get a chance to finish the basis to my flash animation site that will not replace this one but work in conjunction with it, and that will also house my graphic work and hopefully my animation work.

 

And I am thinking of establishing a mailing list...we will see.

I've added two pieces to the Art's Sake section: one of the lovely Bagheera, and one that is actually a self-portrait. Haven't done one of those in a long time and actually finished this one on a creative whim during the wee hours of the morning.

Well, what do you know, I'm posting exactly one month from my last post. Just noticed that. Ok, I've been a bit preoccupied by life's little inconsistencies, but I'm taking a moment to add my two favorite plugs:

Yesterday morning, someone I dearly loved passed away. Nothing I could ever type here could ever do justice to the new hole in my heart, but my sincerest love and blessings to all those who share in this loss and to his family, which I consider part of my own.

Welcome to autumn. I have to say, I'm more than ready for slightly cooler temperatures, air that doesn't feel like I'm breathing a glass of water, and god forbid...some sun.

The site is owned by a fellow SCAD alumnus and I must say his little blurb about me is simply the nicest I have ever read. Good gravy, where does the time go?? Ok, with work and a few pesky hurricanes, I am behind in about every aspect of my life. However, I have finally registered my domain name www.littlegproductions.com. It's much less to type and will bring you right here.

 

I've added an extra little painting to the Art's Sake section. Hopefully, more pieces will be coming in the future. Bit by bit.

 

Those of you out there who haven't grabbed copies of Ultra 1 or 2 from your nearby comic book stores, shame on you! And by grab, I mean carefully handle and pay for, not steal. If you have, consider yourself on my list of new friends and look out for the third issue coming out in October.

First off, a very happy birthday to my mother! Not that she can read this. I have finally almost completed the first major overhaul this site has ever undergone. All that's left is to add my links page and a lifetime of tweaking, which shall all come in due time. This page used to include a small random question and answer segment, which you can read now if you like before it disappears into the dank depths of eternity:

 

History in the making folks! The illustrious Texas Queen appears today as her reclusive alter ego, Gianina Lopategui, and kindly answers a few questions for her fans.

How did you become the dazzling artist you are today?

"Well, I have earned two degrees from the Savannah College of Art and Design. Plus, I never skimped on the sugary cereals, especially those with marshmallows. Nothing fuels talent better than sugar."

What does life have in store for you next?

"I hope to walk these cowboy boots straight into the children's book and editorial illustration markets. Art direction and animation (including my new best friend Macromedia Flash) are high on the checklist. Of course, I'll continue my exploits as the Texas Queen. My desires for world peace, ecological harmony, and a chocolate bar farm are a given."

How can your fans, potential employers, and animals of the forest contact you?
