Hmmm...I really need to create a separate page to house some of the older updates.
I'm
too tired to be funny, so I will get right to the point. I finally created a little gallery space of my own, which I
have been wanting to do for some time. Basically, it's a happy spot online where I can showcase pieces (paintings, photos,
drawings) as collections of work with a centralized theme or feel. Check it out here.

Beware the ides of March.....if you're Ceasar. Otherwise you are in the clear.
I've added about fifteen new images to the black and white section. Basically, the top three rows are new to you. Eventually, I will re-arrange all the images until I'm satisfied with the
order, but I'll leave them on top for easy viewing for now.
On side business, I have something cooking up with four other shining stars that I know and love.
Have no idea what I'm talking about? No problem, once we take the world by storm, you will know. For now, though, feel free
to peruse our florida show calendar. If you see any shows/dates that need to be changed or added, just send me a quick email.

Finally, a new update on this website! Ok, folks, I have added the three paintings that were
on display elsewhere for the month of December to my Art's Sake section. So, if you haven't seen "And the Chupacabra Pounces",
"Two for October No. 1" or "Two for October No. 2" then proceed straight here.
I have plenty of updates I want to give this site. Look for some new additions to my Black and
White page very soon. Also, if all goes as planned (famous last words!), I will be able to put some more elbow grease into
the flash site I have been creating. Yay for that!
December 30, 2004
First, a big Happy Birthday to my father!!!
You have until January 10th!
Added a new link today, www.bergmusic.com. I met Berg at one of FYC's acoustic gigs, and not only is he uniquely talented but he can coordinate a mean show. Go on
and give him a bit of attention.
December 25, 2004
Merry Christmas, Season's Greetings, Happy Whatever-You-Celebrate!! :)
December 15, 2004
Still consider stopping by the Stardust Cafe to see my work once you get a chance. Grab
a coffee and a movie while you're there.
This site and yours truly have been given the world's best shout-out by a dear friend right here:
http://www.livejournal.com/users/fyckevin/ . Words can't express how touched I am by his excitement and support. He coincidentally is drummer to this band
(who you've seen me promote whole-heartedly before, and will continue to) http://www.fifthyearcrush.com/ . Despite what he may say in person, they are "true talents". I will always believe that. Coincidentally, the band site has
added me to their list of links, and I'm more than appreciative...and always humbled by how much people care.
Last announcement but ABSOLUTELY not least: ULTRA issue number 5 (http://www.lunabrothers.com/) is out in comic book stores today. Pick up a copy.....go! RUN!
Hopefully, I will soon get a chance to finish the basis to my flash animation site that will
not replace this one but work in conjunction with it, and that will also house my graphic work and hopefully my animation
work.
And I am thinking of establishing a mailing list...we will see.
December 8, 2004
I've added two pieces to the Art's Sake section: one of the lovely Bagheera, and one that is
actually a self-portrait. Haven't done one of those in a long time and actually finished this one on a creative whim during
the wee hours of the morning.
Also, two new links have been added to my collection. See the entertaining musings of a good
friend (http://www.geocities.com/c_ohme) or go to http://www.frontier-films.com and learn about a dear friend's independent film endeavor. Do you have spare cash? Other than sending some to me,
check out the donation page on the site and enrich your world and strengthen your kharma by supporting artistic innovation.
December 2, 2004
For those of you in the area, I will have two paintings on display (in conjunction with other
SCAD alumni in the vicinity) at a little "bohemian" place called the Stardust Cafe and Video starting this Saturday
and continuing for the month of December. http://orlando.citysearch.com/profile/2370284/
Also, I just found out today that my piece was selected as part of an online gallery show titled
"Embodiment; Myths in Animal Form" at http://www.postpicasso.com beginning Friday, December 10th. I'll provide a more direct link to the show once it is opened online to the public.
Check these out and let me know what you think! I'd love to hear from you.
November 9, 2004
Well, what do you know, I'm posting exactly one month from my last post. Just noticed that. Ok,
I've been a bit preoccupied by life's little inconsistencies, but I'm taking a moment to add my two favorite plugs:
Buy Ultra #4 available at your nearest comic book store on November 17th!!!
Watch for Fifth Year Crush on MTV2 on November 22, 2004 @ 9pm EST and vote for them at www.MTV2.com!!!!!
Notice that neither of these plugs are questions. Yes, people, I am telling you. I never would
plug somebody or something that I didn't whole-heartedly love and find deserving (especially on my own site!), and these two
deserve it all..and more!
October 9, 2004
Yesterday morning, someone I dearly loved passed away. Nothing I could ever type here could ever
do justice to the new hole in my heart, but my sincerest love and blessings to all those who share in this loss and to his
family, which I consider part of my own.
October 2, 2004
Welcome to autumn. I have to say, I'm more than ready for slightly cooler temperatures, air that
doesn't feel like I'm breathing a glass of water, and god forbid...some sun.
In a recent google search, I have discovered a link to my site that I wasn't aware of. The site
is owned by a fellow SCAD alumnus and I must say his little blurb about me is simply the nicest I have ever read.
And since the person who wrote it is very much a talent himself, I'm honored. So, Arkady Roytman, you are getting the special
plug of the day. To all reading, please proceed immediately to www.arkadyroytman.com and explore the artwork belonging to someone with a natural and refreshing drawing style. Of course, his link has a cozy
new home on my links page as well.
September 18, 2004
Good gravy, where does the time go?? Ok, with work and a few pesky hurricanes, I am behind in
about every aspect of my life. However, I have finally registered my domain name www.littlegproductions.com. It's much less to type and will bring you right here.
I've added an extra little painting to the Art's Sake section. Hopefully, more pieces will be
coming in the future. Bit by bit.
Those of you out there who haven't grabbed copies of Ultra 1 or 2 from your nearby comic book
stores, shame on you! And by grab, I mean carefully handle and pay for, not steal. If you have, consider yourself on my list
of new friends and look out for the third issue coming out in October.
July 17, 2004
My my my...it's been a while since I've added any kind of post, and I'm using this one to plug
yet more deserving people. Go to http://www.alternativeaddiction.com/unknownbands/unknowntop10.asp and vote for Fifth Year Crush's "Devastated." Ok, now I'm the last person on earth who would force people to vote against
their own free choice, so listen to the song. I promise it doesn't disappoint. And if you're further curious, surf on to http://www.fifthyearcrush.com/ to learn more about those behind the sound.
May 22, 2004
Again, more beautiful links. Check them out. And, to add a plug for two of my favorite people,
go to this site http://www.imagecomics.com/cgi-bin/index.cgi?main=home, click on "Inside the World of Ultra" under Image in the News, and then purchase away like a millionaire on a mission come
August.
May 7, 2004
My lovely little list of links continues to grow. And you just have to love alliteration.
May 1, 2004
The International Online Symbolist Show, of which I am a finalist, opens today! See my piece
on display at http://www.dracoblu.com/lopategui04.html and then continue on to see the various other creative works by talented artists from around the globe.
April 27, 2004
Patience is a virtue when possessed, but when having to be practiced, nothing but a tease.
April 15, 2004
I finished the links page, and they work to boot! Today's a good day.
April 14, 2004
First off, a very happy birthday to my mother! Not that she can read this. I have finally almost
completed the first major overhaul this site has ever undergone. All that's left is to add my links page and a lifetime of
tweaking, which shall all come in due time. This page used to include a small random question and answer segment, which you
can read now if you like before it disappears into the dank depths of eternity:
History in the making folks! The illustrious Texas Queen appears today as her reclusive alter ego, Gianina
Lopategui, and kindly answers a few questions for her fans.
How did you become the dazzling artist you are today?
"Well, I have earned two degrees from the Savannah College of Art and Design. Plus, I never skimped on the
sugary cereals, especially those with marshmallows. Nothing fuels talent better than sugar."
What does life have in store for you next?
"I hope to walk these cowboy boots straight into the children's book and editorial illustration markets. Art
direction and animation (including my new best friend Macromedia Flash) are high on the checklist. Of course, I'll continue
my exploits as the Texas Queen. My desires for world peace, ecological harmony, and a chocolate bar farm are a given."
How can your fans, potential employers, and animals of the forest contact you?
"Just simply email me at the address at the bottom of this page. Don't worry, folks, I never bite. That is
unless you steal any images from my site (ahem ahem...copyright 2002)."
Do you have a piece of wisdom to offer?
"Spiders make good friends as long as they don't crawl onto your bed."
