Subj: TestRS> Well, I was hoping you'd write a poem, but I feel like
RS> doing one.
RS> When?RS>
RS> When will I see with mine eyes
RS> The faith that I only believe?
RS> When will the grey skies
RS> Once again be as in Eden?
RS> When? On the day the trump doth sound,
RS> The dead in Christ shall rise
RS> And be joined by us, outward bound!
RS> What a meeting, when we arise!
RS> If this to you who read seems raving
RS> Let this one thought with you remain.
RS> That life with Christ is worth having,
RS> Even though all should cry, "Vain!"
I liked it Ralph, but being the inveterate curmudgeon...
For those that truly believe,
The Scaly One can scarce deceive,
Peer with that inner eye,
There to see the azure sky!
I shall not wait until the
heralded day,
Understanding what the Master did say,
Arise and live in Him this moment,
Do not let your fear and hatred foment!
Not to brand your words as raving,
But to doubt the worth of “saving,”
Life in Christ is blest with love,
Wait not reward from heav'n above!
Live your days wreathed in Light,
Gaze with eyes of Lover's sight,
Enfold the waifs from distant shores,
Heal the wounds and festering sores!
Part the curtain of man's
limitation,
Partake crystal coolness of God's invitation
Slake your thirst on sparkling truth,
Grow beyond the fences of your youth!
Live life now, express enjoyment,
Joyfully accept the yoke of God's employment,
Put your money not in needs,
Enliven your soul with selfless deeds!
When life's curtain finally
closes,
Moments, that coffins, are rich with roses,
Then the blinders from your sight,
Dissolve to behold truth's brilliant light!
