The Guatemala Solidarity Committee of Boston Invites You to a Summer Movie Series on Guatemala.



Times: 7 pm to 9 pm



Location: Central Square Public Library. 45 Pearl St. Cambridge, MA



Directions: Take the Red Line to Central Square, walk 1 block on Mass Ave. towards Boston, take your first right onto Pearl Street. Parking available next door.



Each movie will have a formal introduction and free refreshments will be available during the event.

This new, updated version of the 1983 classic on war and social revolution in Guatemala is a vigorous and persuasive documentary. When the Mountains Tremble describes the struggle of the largely indigenous peasantry against a heritage of state and foreign oppression. Centered on the experiences of Rigoberta Menchú, a Quiché Mayan woman and winner of the 1992 Nobel Peace Prize.
