, ("goo-li-stahn"), means "flower garden," in both Persian and Uzbek and is a fitting name for this unique ensemble's colorful and ex0tic collection of dances. Gulistan's compelling repertoire features over two dozen classical and folkloric dances of Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Iran (Persia), Azerbaijan, Armenia, Afghanistan, Turkey and Egypt.

     Ms. Krueger has over fifteen years' experience as a performer, choreographer and teacher of Central Asian and Middle Eastern dance. She specializes in the dances of former Soviet Uzbekistan and Tajikistan and is a pioneer in the art of Uzbek and Tajik dance performance in the West. She is the founder and Artistic Director of Gulistan Dance Theater which offers concert performances of traditional dance and music and features the choreography of her celebrated mentor, People's Artist of Uzbekistan, Vilayat Akilova.

     Gulistan is available for concerts, touring, guest appearances, children's programs, festivals, special events, parties, workshops, private and master classes, residencies, lecture-demonstrations, choreography, consulting and educational staff development.
