The word "al ", means "the" (the definite article).
"Al ilah ", therefore means "the god".
The word "Allah", is the combined form of "al ilah ", and simply
means "The GOD". The word "Allah" is the proper name of "The God" in the Arabic language.
The God that we are speaking of is; the Supreme
Being, God the Father, Jehovah, Yahwa, He who created the heavens and earth in
six (6) days, The God of Adam & Eve, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Jacob and the
Tribes, Joseph, Moses, David and Solomon, John, Jesus, and Muhammad.
"La ilaha illa-llah" means there is no God except The God,
"La ilaha illa-llah" means there is no God except Allah.
"Salaam" means Peace, Safety, and Security.
"Islam" means "the way of peace" in other words "submission to the will of God".
"Muslim " means " one who submits (to the will of God)" or "one who seeks peace, safety, and security through God."
"Ash-hadu an La ilaha illa-11ah, .
Wahdahu la sharika lahu,.
wa ash-hadu anna Muhammadar Rasulu-llah".
"I bear witness that there is no god but the One God,.
Who has no partners (or associates),.
and I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of God".
"Amantu bi-llahi,
kama huwa bi asma'ihi, wa sifatihi,
wa qabiltu jami'a ahkamihi,
iqrarun bil-lisani,
wa tasdiqun bil-qalb".
"I solemnly believe in God (Allah),.
with all His names, and attributes,
and I except all His commands,
by admitting them with the tongue,
and affirming them in my heart".
"Amantu bi-llahi,
Wa Malaa'ikatihi,
Wa Kutubihi,
Wa Rasulihi,
Wal Yaum al Akhiri,
Wal qadri khairihi, wa sharrihi, mina-llahi Ta`ala,
wal bathi ba'dal maut.
"I solemnly believe in God (Allah),
and in His Angels,
and in His Books,
and in His Prophets,
and in the Last Day,
and that Power over all good and evil, is from God (Allah) the Highest,
and in the Resurrection from the grave".
