It was written by Shaykh of Islam Al-Hajj Ibrahim ibn Al-Hajj Abdullah Niasse, as advice to the “People of Tariqa”, the Tijaniyya Brotherhood in particular, and to humanity at large.
Since that time it has been translated into English by his grandson Shaykh Hassan ‘Aliyyu Cisse, the Chief Imam of Shaykh Ibrahim Niasse Mosque (pictured on the front). Most recently, Shaykh Hassan Cisse has added verses from Al-Quran, narrations of the Prophet (SAWS), and his own commentary which relate to the poetic verses of the advice. May Allah accept.
“Sufism is a spiritual clinic with doctors who have knowledge of attending to ailments of
the soul.
For a sick patient who requires cure and doses of medicine from the clinic, there is the need for him to make declaration of his sickness and acceptance of patient-hood.
In taking Tariqa, one should be aware that Tariqa is a commitment and the beginning of an
endless journey.
Shaykh Ibrahim here advises that for one to profit in this journey, he should at all times seek
righteousness.” [180 pages]

"Shaykh Ibrahim Niasse: Revivalist of the Sunnah"
The subject of this discussion, Shaykh al-Islam Al-Hajj Ibrahim Niasse, was a knowledgeable and talented individual and the possessor of many gifts from Allah, the Almighty. If we were limited to describing the Shaykh in one word, we would definitely say that the Shaykh was a Muslim throughout his life, in every time, place, and situation. Most assuredly, he was a Muslim doing his best to follow in the footsteps of the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him. He mentioned in one of his poems, "If I am asked what is your Madhhab, and who is your beloved, I will definitely answer that the Prophet (pbuh) is."...
In time, the responsibility of leadership (in Tariqa Tijaniyya) passed to the hand of Shaykh Ibrahim Niasse who was to play an even greater role in spreading Islam and the Tariqa in that area of the world. Indeed, he has achieved accomplishments in this field that have no parallel in the history of West Africa. To this day, contemporaries bear witness to his achievements, whether they were with him or against him. $8.00 plus $2 postage (US), [40 pages]
"Noujoum Al Houda"
"In the name of God, Most Kind and Most Merciful."
"O Lord! Bestow your greetings on our Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), the opener of what was closed, the seal of what has passed, the helper of truth with truth, and the guide to your most straight, perfect path. Let this blessing include his household, and be for them of a magnitude that matches the magnitude of the Prophet (pbuh). For his magnitude is (indeed) a great one."
This epistle has been written by the Shaykh, the Teacher, the Hadith narrator, the Sufi, the reverent Abu Ishaq Al Hajj Ibrahim Niasse, son of Al Hajj Abdullah Niasse Al Maliki Al Ashaari, At-Tijani of Kaolack. May God grant him everlasting power and give him long life, in order to confute the gossip of those who disown the Prophet's (pbuh) pre-eminence. May the greetings of God be on him, and upon all the Prophets, and all the Messengers. He entitled it: "The Stars of the Good Road", dealing with the pre-eminence of our Prophet (pbuh) over all those who preached for the Lord. *** $9.00 plus $2 postage (US), [48 pages]
"Shaykh Hassan Cisse: Four Speeches"
This book is a sample of some of the earlier speeches given by Shaykh Hassan Cisse to his newest American talibehs (students), and to new reverts or so-called 'converts' to the Islamic Faith.
These four speeches were given while Shaykh Hassan and his traveling companions were visiting Atlanta, Georgia in 1993.
The settings where these speeches took place are given as headings for each speech.
The speeches were first recorded, transcribed, and compiled as a book in 1993 by Abdullah Abdul-Malik ibn Daud of Houston, Texas and Sister Khadijah of Atlanta, Georgia. $9.00 plus $2 postage (US), [48 pages]
"Rules on Women in Islam"
This little book is actually a paper from a Conference with Shaykh Mouhamadou Mahi Cisse, held in New York, New York on Sunday Oct. 6, 2002 6:00 pm. The title of the paper and the Conference was: "Rules on Women in Islam".
It is intended to provide the reader with a comprehensive and objective exposition about the status of woman in Islam.
It should be noted, however, that it is highly desirable to have a brief description of women's status in the pre-Islamic societies from spiritual, social, economic, and legal points of view to provide a better basis for an impartial evaluation of what Islam contributed toward the restoration of women's dignity and rights. $6.00 plus $2 postage (US), [24 Pages]
"The Four Times in ones life"
This little book is a compilation of some articles that have for the past one or two generations been passed around amongst Muslims in America for the purpose of teaching Islam. The main articles are:
The Four Times in ones life: Friday Juma (An Alternative If You Miss It); and
Gafaratu Salat (Making up Missed Prayers).
We hope it may also prove to be a useful tool in practicing ones Deen, and that we do not offend whoever originally wrote these articles by compiling them in this book. We believe that these articles are by permission of Shaykh Hassan Ali Cisse. $6.00 plus $2 postage (US), [20 Pages]
