Our home is located on a half acre in a quiet residential area about 10 miles north of downtown Seattle. The house sits on a bluff facing northwest with a spectacular view of Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains. The back of the house is very private bordering a ravine. There is a patio and second sitting area near the edge of the ravine looking across to a wooded park. A hammock chair hangs from a large Norwegian maple tree - another peaceful spot. The backyard is landscaped with lots of shrubs and perennials. Both front and backyards have an automatic watering system.

Our home is a one-story rambler. There are two bedrooms and a bath on the south side of the house. The master bedroom suite on the north side has a sitting area with a fireplace and a double sliding door entering into a deck overlooking the water and the mountains. The master bath has a jacuzzi tub and a shower. The kitchen with modern appliances and the adjacent sunroom have a cathedral ceiling and look out to the backyard. One steps onto a covered deck from the sunroom. The laundry with washer and dryer is located next to the kitchen. The house is light and airy with many windows and a contemporary decor. Lots of plants add to the welcoming atmosphere. The audio cabinet holds a stereo system (tuner, CD player, tape deck, TV, VCR) and a set of built-in speakers lets you listen to music in most rooms including the master bath and the outdoor deck facing the backyard.

The nearest grocery shopping is one mile (1.6 km) away with larger shopping malls available within 2 - 6 miles.

Seattle is situated on Puget Sound, an inland waterway, nestled between the Olympic Mountains to the west and the Cascade Mountains to the east dominated by Mt. Rainier (14,410ft) visible from Seattle and a 2 1/2 hr drive away. The geography of the area provides many outdoor activities ranging from sightseeing, hiking, mountain climbing, biking, boating, skiing, fishing, river rafting and much more.

Seattle offers numerous cultural activities: the Seattle Symphony, the Seattle Opera, Pacific Northwest Ballet, and numerous other groups and venues. There are many sightseeing tours available or take a ferry ride across Puget Sound to the Olympic Peninsula or through the beautiful San Juan Islands to Vancouver Island, BC, Canada.
