Historical Reenactments:
Two historical reenactments are staged per year
First Saturday in May or June at Woodburn
First weekend in December at Ashtabula

"Stoneman's Raid on Ashtabula"
April 26-27, 2008 at Ashtabula
10AM - 5 PM Sat / Noon - 5 PM 
 
Reeactment of Gen. Stoneman's cavalry raid on Ashtabula Plantation on May 1, 1865.
 
Admission to Grounds:  Adults - $6, Children $3
Admissin to House:  Adults $2, Children $1

"Christmas Candlelight Tours"
November 30 & December 1, 2007
5:30 - 8:30 PM
Ashtabula
 
Reenactment "At Home for the Holidays":   an 1800's Christmas featuring a different theme each year with  vigenettes in 5 - 6 rooms. There will be  period decorations, music and refreshments. Another room in the annex will be decorated and open for self-guided tours.  The driveway will be lined with luminaries.   Tours will leave every 10 minuets.  
Call 864-646-3782 for information and advance reservations. 
Reservations are recommended to avoid a potential wait outside. 
Over 600 visitors attend ourChristmas reenactment each year.  
 
Admission:
Adults $6, Children $3 (ages 5 - 10)

      Special benefit gala on the lawn featuring :
  • Wine-tasting sponsored by Olde Towne Spirits of Pendleton
  • Music performances by Clemson University String Quarette 
  • Dinner Buffet provided by numerous local restaurants
  • Dancing under the Stars (weather permitting) 
  • Souvenir wine glass and door prize drawings 
  • House open for touring 
Fifth annual benefit for our Preservation Endowment
Contribution:  $40 per person / 2 tickets for $70
Ticket sales limited to 250

Additional Events:
 
First-person interpretative tours will be at Ashtabula on the first Sunday of each month, May - November.
 
Vistorian Tea and Tour
Victorian Tea served on the "piazza' followed by a tour with guides in historical costume and lecture on a featured topic.  Please call for dates and charges.
