Notes: 

1.    Mary Martha Hunter’s maiden name was Harbert (or Herbert). She was born in Lead Mines, Augusta (now Wythe) Co., VA and married Johnson Calhoun Hunter Nov 10, 1809.

2.    Josephine Bonapart Hunter’s maiden name was Estes.  She married Thomas Jefferson Hunter Oct 12, 1854.

3.    Harriet Harbert Frost’s maiden name was Hunter.  Harriet married Col. Elbert Head January 15, 1837.  Col. Head died 26 Sep 1840.  Harriet then married Samuel Miles Frost Mar 2, 1843.  She died in childbirth of an infant daughter, who is believed to be buried alongside her.

4.    Messina Hunter married Alexander McCloy of Fort Bend Co. Feb 8, 1852.  She died four days after the birth of her son, James Franklin McCloy.
