Biography of Steven Janow
Steven Janow (b. 1973) is a self-taught composer and a native of Rhinebeck, part of the culturally rich Hudson Valley in upstate New York. Mr. Janow has composed everything from solo clarinet to a symphony, and many chamber works. He is a very prolific and and extremely original composer, with experience in virtually every form of popular and serious music. His originality includes style, form, scale, instrumentation and orchestration, harmony and counterpoint, and cadences. He has just completed a 'Manifesto On Music' which details all of this original invention.
Steven Janow earned a Bachelor of Music from the University of Hartford with previous studies at North Carolina School of the Arts. At these conservatories he studied serious composition and legit (classical) saxophone. Steven also earned a Liberal Arts degree from the State University of New York, Dutchess Community College.
