The Bulletin Board page is a place to offer news and announcements about members, and also to let members communicate with each other.

We, the members of Tired Iron owe a great debt of gratitude to our departed friend Hobart Young.  As many of you know, Hobart named our club in his will.  The proceeds from the bequest have allowed us to pay our debt on our land in full.

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Next meetings:  September 16, 2008, at the clubhouse at 7 p.m.

NEWS FROM THE MEMBERS:
Arlene Chritensen is at home after her surgery.  She is doing much better, but she still faces an extended convelescence.

Clarence Woolley is doing well after his surgery.  He will not have to face chemo or radiation treatments.  We were pleasantly surprised when he attended the February meeting.

Barbara Engler, Bob's wife, has endured extensive surgery and treatment for cancer.  Bob reported at the February meeting that she is doing some better.

Some members of Tired Iron have been busy during October.  We had a good representation at the Grove, OK, Pelican Festival parade and at the Flying Cow Arena north of Grove.
Later, several members took displays to the Bentonville, AR, Spanker Creek Craft Show, Oct. 17-21.  Our working, scale model IH baler was a big hit at the show.  Anthony Hartfield and the baler were featured on the KNWA News on Wednesday of that week.  Larry and Pat Morrison were in the background of the broadcast.  Chuck Ritchison was shown baling hay in a photograph in Sunday's Springdale Morning News.
During the same weekend several members displayed tractors and trucks at the Gentry, AR, Pioneer Days Festival.
