December 16, 2007

We held a Chapter Ten breakfast meeting on Sunday and I wish to thank Bonnie and Dennis for opening their home for a fantastic home cooked breakfast!  As far as I’m concerned, this was far more enjoyable than any breakfast meeting I’ve been to for a long time!  Thank you Bonnie and Dennis!

I also want to thank those that could attend on a day of bad winter weather; particularly to Doug Reese and his wife who drove about 40 miles!

Members in attendance:

John Culpin

Dennis Tetreault

Jim Moran

Doug Reese

Jim Sullivan

Rod Marion

Tom Lloret

As you probably already know, we generally have election of officers in December.  As the current slate was running unopposed, it wasn’t too difficult of a process.  Therefore, the officers for 2008 will be:

President:  John Culpin

Vice President:  Bob Zahansky

Secretary:  Angelo Sorvillo

Treasurer: Art Richardson

Directors:  Rod Marion, Dennis Tetreault, Jim Moran

The Spring of 2008 Conference was announce by the hosting chapter and all Chapter Ten member’s were emailed the information.   This year, the weekend event is scheduled for June 6, 7, and 8 in Portland Maine.  Mark your calendars please and plan to go.  It is fun, it is not that expensive, and it is pretty informal event.  Book your hotel early and make sure to send in the registration form.  If you plan to go, let me know so we can either ride together or plan to meet there.  If the weather is bad, some may elect to drive instead of ride.   If also include the link below for the Northeast Conferernce for your browsing pleasure.

We also had significant discussion regarding recruitment and retention, fund raising, and ride planning.  This has been an ongoing concern of mine for a long time and I’m looking to everyone for input.  I heard some excellent ideas and it starts off with some basics…participate with us on scheduled rides and opportunities will arise.

Thanks!........John
