p r o j e c t sSparky Pictures is developing a narrative feature FIRELIGHT SONG set in the 1930s, and inspired by Harriett "Petey" Weaver, the first female forest ranger in the US. It will be written, directed, and edited by Jennifer Reeves. She is involved in research and writing at the moment, and looking for a producer. Jennifer received a 2008 Media Arts Fellowship from Renew Media/ Tribeca Film Institute (funded by the Rockefeller Foundation), for Firelight Song inspired by the life of Harriet "Petey" Weaver. Reeves is the project's cinematographer and director's consultant. The illustrious Winsome Brown, who has written, directed and performed in theater, films, and television for years, will be making her debut as a film director. Cherry will tour with the film with a pianist; performing the gorgeous compositions by Soldier as the film plays.
