What Mondo is NOT... and why:

 

• Mondo is not made from stereo samples
  

Stereo samples can sound great. So why use mono samples?

• Mondo is not a velocity-layered sample set
  

Typical piano sets provide 2 or 3 dynamic levels to give the illusion of dynamic response. This approach consumes several times as much memory, and the velocity switch points are obvious.

Mondo Piano features a meticulously crafted VAST algorithm which models the dynamic timbre response of a real piano throughout the entire dynamic range from ppp to fff. The result is natural, full-range dynamic timbre response across all velocities with no switch points.

• Mondo is not complex or bloated
  

Mondo Piano has been painstakingly programmed, but the program itself is elegantly simple. Programs are easily adapted to different playing styles. Complete instructions for adjusting Mondo Piano are included in the documentation.

The Mondo objects take up only a few ID numbers and the bank is not cluttered with endless variations. Kurzweilers can mix and match Mondo's objects with their favorite programs, VAST algorithms and KDFX objects.
