Japan Society of Fairfield County GreenwichArts Council: Art to the Avenue

The Greenwich Art Council‘s Art to the Avenue event is always crowded but this year the largest crowd was outside the Arts Council building, where, for the first time, the Greenwich Japanese community took part as performers courtesy of the Japan Society of Fairfield County and the Greenwich Kokusai Gakuen. For some dancers this was their first public performance, which given their ages was not surprising. Yet with the guidance of parents, teachers and Kay Yamamoto, all three dances were perfect. Even the artist, Dino Kotopoulis, whose sculpture is outside the Arts council wanted to pose with the dancers they looked so wonderful in their happi coats.
