Always zoku Sanchome no Yuhi
Always zoku Sanchome no Yuhi (The Sunshine on Third Street) is
a
brilliant popular animae, a sequel to the first
animae to win an award
from the Japan Academy (of motion pictures) which we screened earlier.
The movie is about
ordinary families living in Tokyo during the Showa period. It has
everything: humor, pathos, stunning visual effects and of course, a
beautiful love story. Aspiring writer Chagawa is living with Junnosuke
while the love of his life is working as a cabaret dancer, paying off
her debt. His neighbor Suzuki's auto business is growing. All ends up
beautifully in the Tokyo of the 1960's.
