Bright Horizons Origami Class, July 28, 2010
On July 28th, an Origami Class was held at
Bright Horizons at Yale West
Campus, a daycare center in Orange CT.
At the center, 8 young children, as young
as 4 years old, learned how
to make sea creatures They took on the challenge of using origami paper
and folded a number of colorful fish. The children also created a
"Seascape" with origami boats and a collage of origami paper on their
paper plates. At the end of the class, they enjoyed playing "Origami
Fishing" with a fishing rod made of a stick, a piece of string with
magnets.
This was the second origami class run by the volunteers of JSFC this
year. Thanks to the JSFC volunteers, Yoko Kurimoto, Junko Uezumi,
Kazumi Inoue, Harry Sakamaki and Naomi Manning, the class was fun and
interactive.
