Junzo Nojima and Stamford's Cherry Trees: A Kamishibai Presentation
Junzo's new restaurant
Finally, in 1932, when Junzo was 26 years old, he opened the "K & J Three Deckers Restaurant" at 345 Atlantic St. in Stamford, Connecticut. This was the first restaurant owned by a Japanese in Connecticut, and the initials "K & J" stood for Junzo's name and the first name of Mr. Kiyoteru Taki, who was a business partner. "Welcome, Welcome!" The car standing in front of the restaurant is a Benz from the 1930's.
