Diane
Bailey Frook has written fiction and non-fiction for several children's magazines, including Cricket, Highlights, Ladybug
and AppleSeeds. She particularly likes writing historical fiction spun from her own family stories or based on obscure
events. Having once read, "When you write a book for a child, you give a voice to the voiceless" she has adopted this philosophy
for herself (and taped the words to her computer, lest she forget!) Diane has also reviewed childrens books for the publication
"Children's Literature," and worked as an entertainment journalist and reviewer. She has a dual degree in journalism and English
from Syracuse University. Diane lives in Lawrence, Kansas, with her husband and two sons, and is currently working on a novel.
