Lisa Wade McCormick is an award winning newspaper reporter and television producer. During her career, Lisa has worked at KCTV in Kansas City, The Greeley (Colorado) Daily Tribune, and The Independence Examiner. She has won numerous awards, including two Emmys and the prestigious I.R.E. for outstanding investigative reporting. Lisa’s investigative stories have recovered thousands of dollars for consumers, exposed unscrupulous public officials, and triggered nationwide recalls of dangerous products. Lisa has also worked as an economic crime investigator with the Johnson County district attorney’s office. Her investigations sent numerous defendants to prison and recovered thousands of dollars for consumers. Lisa is now a freelance writer and children’s book author in Kansas City. Her stories have appeared in The Kansas City Star Sunday Magazine, Consumeraffairs.com, and other national publications. Lisa has also written seven children’s book for Children’s Press, a subsidiary of Scholastic. She is now marketing her middle grade novel, Typo The News Hound, and working on her second one.
