Once upon a time, all there was was the mail. People used to have to scribble on sheets of dried, flattened wood
pulp, enclose them in an "envelope," pay the federal governent for a small postage voucher called a "stamp,"
go to a place that was NEVER open to drop it off and hope against hope that SOMEDAY your mail would reach it's destination.
Then E-mail arrived. And suddenly the "mail" was a thing to be dreaded. Only bad news came through the mailbox.
That, and junk. Friends and loved ones now communicated in cyberspace - exchanging lists of lawyer jokes, rehashings of
urban legends, and, indeed, every thought that went through their heads (no matter how trivial).
Now, things have come full-circle. E-mail is almost all junk. The constant prattle from well-meaning friends and acquaintences
has simply gotten out of hand. And now, the mail as our fore-fathers knew it is back in vogue!
But I do want your e-mails and feedback. Honestly. Go ahead. Ask me something...
