Domestic Release/Crossings (with John Hudak)
In Domestic Release, his latest creation for The Generator Sound
Theater, Gen Ken brews a homespun feast for multiple speakers
derived from the unheeded, annoying ordinary sounds of his own
domicile: the voices of spoons, cars, crayons, cat's' tongues,
coffee pots, clocks, faucets and an anonymous caller. John Hudak
collaborates in Crossings, a sonic trek from the Brooklyn Bridge
to Milano Centrale to Paris Orly Sud to Munich Bahnhof. A meditation
on transition extracted from manipulated recordings.
