Continue the KX4R Tour

Do you think BA collecting is a sickness ????  My XYL surely does !

She says our basement is part of the Bermuda Triangle......a lot of stuff goes in and nothing ever comes out !

Well here's the BIG RIG...a Crosley T-368C/URT vintage 1956 that puts out a solid 400 watts of AM continuously! RF deck and control mods were done by my good friend Al K4CKS and audio mods by yours truly, KX4R.
Sitting on top is a Collins R390 (non-A) which was refurbished by Dave Medley and a TMC CV-591 SSB adapter. Audio from the receiver is taken off the diode load on the rear and fed into the stereo system seen on the left for superb big booming AM sound !

The last vintage AM station is a National NC-183D Receiver and a B&W 5100B Transmitter. The Ham Shack computer and ME-165/G Wattmeter (for the T-368) are also visible.

Last stop on the tour is part of my vintage book collection.
A complete collection of Electric Radio Magazine and almost complete collection of ARRL Handbooks (still need 1926,27,28,29,31,32,and 33) as well as various West Coast and Frank Jones Handbooks. Great reading and lots of old vintage radio ads ....what could be better !
