Another Boatanchor afficianado is Jim K4AEK of Rome, Georgia

Here's a wide angle shot of Jim's vintage operating positions.

Heathkit's DX-60 transmitter, HG-10 VFO, and HR-10 receiver make a
wonderful vintage station !
______________________________________________________________________________

The ubiquitous Johnson Ranger and National NC-300 make up this fine
station ! How about that rare AK-5 Heathkit speaker....you don't see many of them !

A virtual plethera of restored gear waiting for their time on the
operating table. A Johnson Valiant, Meissner Signal Shifter, a rare Heath HX-11 transmitter,
Collins KWM-1, a couple of Lettine 240's, several WRL Globe transmitters and a bunch of
Heathkits.....looks great, Jim !!

STANCOR 40-P
Here are some photos of Jim's latest project....a Stancor
40-P transmitter. Just look at the before and after shots! Jim really put a lot of work into the detailed restoration
of this beautiful vintage piece.

The finished product is just beautiful ! And Jim
now has the 40-P on the air on 3885 Kc. It truly sounds as
great as it looks ! Wonderful job Jim !
By the way, Jim is looking for a suitable cabinet for the transmitter and would
appreciate hearing from anyone with information on this rig or anyone using one on the air. Jim's email address
can be found on QRZ.com

Jim is also a Homebrew artist....as can be seen in the following pictures
of his "built from scratch" superhet receiver.

Is this great , or what ! A beautiful finished product that
anyone would be proud to have in their shack!
Jim's father, W4IMQ of Cedartown, Ga is also a builder.....like father , like son !

Another great example of Jim's homebrew skill is this fine receiver!
I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. Check out the homebrew dial that uses an old AOL computer disk !
