During the past few years (i.e., since retiring from federal employment), Dr. Stone has been increasingly viewed by attorneys in the District of Colombia, Maryland and Virginia as the forensic clinical psychologist to engage when involved with clients who are in employment dispute with the several U.S. Governmental intelligence agencies, including the Department of Defense. The great majority of such cases involve accusations, by the involved government agency, that the subject individuals’ mental health status prevents the granting or continuance of a required (for employment) security clearance. Attorneys who may be representing such clients and have potential interest in considering the forensic clinical psychology services offered by Dr. Stone are encouraged to contact Dr. Stone. If the inquiry appears to be a serious one, he will provide the names and telephone numbers of those DC, Maryland and Virginia attorneys who have already utilized his professional assessment services in these kinds of matters. It should be noted that in the past decade and a half,
Dr. Stone has published, in refereed behavioral science journals, a number
of research-based articles that pertain to the psychology of traitorous
U.S. citizen spies. He has also presented a number of ‘papers’ on this
subject at annual meetings/conventions of some psychological professional
associations and societies. His developed psychological assessment instrument,
the Personnel Security Standards Psychological Questionnaire (PSSPQ) is,
to date, the only psychological testing device that can accurately predict,
very early on in the employment application process, who will and who will
not, be granted high-level security clearance status.
