watching in absolute wonder as your five year old daughter gets up on
water skiis the first time she tries, skiis around the entire lake without a moment's trouble.
being side by side with
your man friend who carries your young daughter up Stone Mountain on his shoulders,and being amazed at the physical strength
of men;
standing on a platform as a child,reciting what you learned and saying it precisely right, and not getting nervous;
seeing your daughters graduate University;
watching as men arrive on shore from the aircraft carriers as they come
into port [my brothers were in the Navy];
being at airport as your daughters come back to the US after years abroad;
being
told by University Professor that "you're a natural at accounting" {yesterday when I started this website I was hesitant to
write what the Professor said to me because I am incredulous still that he said that, because I studied for about eight hours
per day on the accounting homework while at University of GA.I still think anything a person is a "natural" at is easier to
learn than that! But I remember vividly the remark and it was a high point in my life.It encouraged me greatly that he thought
that and inspired me, but I did not go into accounting.]
hearing a man say,"I've ALWAYS loved you."
seeing your grandchildren
when you haven't seen them in a while;
hearing a grandson say, "no matter what, I will never forget you Nanny".
hearing a granddaughter say,"Nanny, will you teach me the scriptures?'
seeing your precocious GRAND as in wonderful, children demonstrate anything new they learned;
recieving a hand-written letter from your eight year old granddaughter as she shows you how she
is learning to write in cursive;
watching your grandchildren laugh and giggle as they share their joke;
attending your daughter's wedding;
having the means to buy your daughter's wedding dress;
being able to walk again after having had orthopedic surgery on a disabling injury;
