Any Comments, Corrections, or Additions would be appreciated. Please share your own successes and even failures so that we can all learn from each other. Being an Alzheimer's patient and/or caregiver can be a lonely experience. Also let me know if you would like your experiences shared on this site. I am an interested Caregiver who has spent the past couple of years trying to determine what Alzheimer's really is and what can be done to alleviate the symptoms and/or make life easier for those who have been diagnosed as having "Alzheimer's Symtoms". I am most interested in hearing from people with real experiences with Alzheimer's, related dementias and improving life as we age. These experiences can be either with AMA kinds of professionals or any alternative methods. With the permision of the caregiver and/or the AD patient, I will publish all of the responses on this site so that we may all learn from one another. I would be interested in contacts who wish to remain private and anonymous as well. While researching Alzheimer's, We found out that lifestyles choices with a potential link to Alzheimer's were very similar to Cardiovascular and Ageing lifestyle choice problems. I have added a link on this page to Websites relating to Anti-aging in general and some studies trying to determine why some people live healthy lives up to and beyond 110 years old. A good Current summary of supplements and drugs by one person (An MD who also supports supplementals). To send an Email Please Click Here Click here to read other Experiences Thanks! Lowell - I would be expecially interested in hearing from anyone with current experience with Niacin. I have been experimenting with 3 grams of Niacin daily (1 gram with each meal.) My goal is to test this same therapy with an Alzheimer's patient. In my case it seems to make my running easier, and the arthritus in my neck and back seems to be gone. Read Dr. Hoffer's article on Niacin before trying this dose.
