camera to a man that was fishing with his son so he could take these pictures
of me.

who took the pictures and his son caught one and we cooked it up and ate
it after I made some pan bread.

June 1, 1996. My camp at Trail Camp, less than a mile from Trail Crest and
about 12,000 feet vertical.

June 1, 1996. Trail Camp. I will need the rest. The hill over my right shoulder
is the approach to Trail Crest. The next day I would climb 1,500 feet in
vertical , 1 mile in distance, through snow and ice, with a 75 pound pack
while my lungs are still not quite used to the altitude.
