| The Woodshop for Kids Workshop for Teachers |
|
|
For quite a few years I have given a Woodshop for Kids workshop to teachers at the annual Washington state Association for the Education of Young Children (WAEYC) conference. I've also presented for Montessori teachers. This workshop is a shortened version of the information in my book Woodshop for Kids.
The workshop covers:
I bring many examples of kid-built projects. I start with a short slide show of a shop and kids building, move to a lecture/demonstration of tools, and end up with a hands-on opportunity to build projects. |
Here are some comments from teachers who have attended the Woodshop for Kids workshop:

Attend or Schedule a Woodshop for Kids Workshop |

I charge $400 for a workshop, plus mileage and travel expenses. I live in Bellingham, WA, north of Seattle. Since I have a small pick-up load of equipment I bring for this workshop, it probably wouldn't be cost effective to travel out of the Pacific Northwest.
My next woodworking workshop will be at the WAEYC conference October 24-27, in Yakima, WA. Check the conference schedule later in the summer. [Already happened - I took these photos there. Further announcements will appear here.] For additional scheduling or other information, please contact me, Jack McKee, at the address below. |
