The Rites of Munay-Ki are energetic transmissions. They give recipients both protection and deepening connection with ancestors, earth, mountains, stars, and the time to come. Universal in origin, these particular transmissions are from a spiritual and cosmological lineage thousands of years old, maintained by the Qero/Inca people in the Peruvian Andes.

In Andean wisdom teaching, the Munay-Ki are seed initiations for becoming beings of wisdom and power who accept the stewardship for all of creation. The Munay-Ki Rites help us cleanse our luminous energy field; break free from old stories, karma, genetic drama, and ego; have the courage to dream a different world; and prepare us to become homo luminous. This new human--who will live in her transcendent nature, free of fear--has been foretold by the Qero/Inca prophecy. As part of the 2012 prophesy, the medicine women and men of the Andes have passed to us the nine great initiations of Munay Ki to help us craft a new destiny.

Receiving energetic transmissions is a path for moving out of the limits of a single human mind and accessing the wisdom of the cosmos. Learning to embody and nourish the seeds of Munay-Ki is an essential part of the process of becoming.

What Are "Energetic Transmissions"?

Energetic transmissions like the Munay-Ki are seeds: a transmission is given to you, then you learn to feel it in your body, use it, understand it, and communicate it. The Munay-Ki are gifts we can use to jump-start our awareness. For example, if you have received a Reiki attunement, you probably had to practice for a long time before you got it fully. It is the same with any other transmission, initiation, or vision quest: there is an initial experience, a moment of "Aha!" Then the process of integration, putting-into-practice, embodiment, and refining begins.

The analogies of gardening and farming are useful in working with seeds of transmissions. After preparing the soil (your receptiveness, your intent), the seed can be planted. To help the seed grow, you water and fertilize it (feeding it with shifting habits and opening to new ways). You weed (throw out old stuff--beliefs, ways of acting--that are in the way) to give the seed space to root, grow, and blossom. When it ripens, you harvest the fruit and eat it, taking in energy from the nutrients and processing the waste so more food can enter. This cycle of growing, harvesting, and shedding repeats over and over.

The power of an energetic transmission comes from the ancestral wisdom, collective energy, and morphic fields it taps into. Transmissions can take us into other dimensions and sacred time. They give us access to fields of energy and consciousness we might otherwise take years to experience. Transmissions and initiations can come to us from people, from nature, and from spirit.

Seeds for Earthkeepers:
Munay-Ki with Earth Caretakers

Earth Caretakers will offer the profound energetic transmissions of Munay-Ki and teachings over the course of nine months in 2014. We will meet in our Medicine Wheel on Sonoma Mountain, on the fourth Sunday of each month, building community & connection together during the year.

In addition to the Rites, our time together will offer you an immersion in the mystical side of Andean cosmology. We'll explore the use of intent, reciprocity, and energy, along with oral wisdom teachings, healing practices, and tools for transformation, as we nurture these "seeds of homo luminous." We will have time to connect deeply with and learn from nature as indigenous people do the world over. Our intent is to create a field of energy that supports us as we grow our seeds together.

We are excited to share the leaps and deepening these Rites have given us, and to help you learn how to map and create your own fields of energy and consciousness as you take the next steps on your path of power. Whether you are brand new to the Rites or have received them as part of your shamanic training, our intensive time together has the potential to stir the next leap forward on your journey.

The Nine Rites

The first four Rites are protection transmissions, as they feed our power, vision, seeing, and sense of reciprocity. The other five Rites connect us to ancient lineage and the times to come. The Quechua terms in parentheses note the traditional associations with each rite.

1-Healers Rite, Seeds of Love and Vision (Hampui Karpay)
2-Bands of Power Rite, Seeds of Protection and Connection
3-Harmony Rite
, Seeds of Balance in the Chakras and the Three Worlds (Ayni Karpay)
4-Seer Rite, Seeds of Perceiving Energy (Ka'waq')

5-Daykeeper Rite, Seeds of the Ancestors (Pampa Mesayoq')

6-Wisdomkeeper Rite, Seeds of the Mountains (Alto Mesayoq')

7-Earthkeeper Rite, Seeds of the Earthkeepers and the Times to Come (Kuraq' Aqullaq')

8-Starkeeper Rite, Seeds to the Stars (Mosoq' Karpay)

9-Creation Rite, Seeds to the Cosmos (Taitancha)

The Turning Over of the World

Indigenous prophesies for 2012 foretell the turning over (not the end) of life as we know it. We are making quantum leaps of consciousness in this time, right now. The more we feed our perceptions of connection, support, and alignment, the more we can experience and live within the fields of energy that will help us float down the river easily together.

Our cells remember much ancient wisdom. We can redirect and re-inform our minds and consciousness with experiential perception. As we learn to perceive the living energy of all things--"the environment as our extended body" as Deepak Chopra puts it--we can engage in a quest for a deeper, broader vision. We can step into our fullness, our essence. We can make a difference in the world and in our evolution as a species.

If you feel this calling, the Munay-Ki Rites can help you engage with ancestral wisdom, step into your becoming, invite destiny to unfold in your life, and move into the transcendence of the Fifth World.
