This newspaper clipping, probably from the Holdenville Daily News, describes a visit from Harmon's wife and son, Anita and Russell, to his parents, Sam and Ibra, during the summer of 1943.

"Taking after his father," who is in the 45th division fighting in Sicily, "Lt." Harmon Buckley jr., "can now kick his heels and salute," his grandfather, Sam Buckley asserts.
The son, only two months old has not seen his father.
Also accompanying him were his mother and grandmother, Mrs. Margaret Evans, both of B[a]llinger, Tex. Mrs. Buckley has been making her home with her mother since her husband sailed.
