Solis Medical Laboratory (SML) is an independent medical laboratory that offers clinical laboratory testing.  Established in 1986, SML is accredited by the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services under the Health Care Financing Administration (HCFA)/CLIA 1967 & 1988.  SML participates quarterly in American Proficiency Institute proficiency testing programs to meet accreditation standards and quality assurance as required by CLIA and recognized by the Joint Commission.

 

General testing services include various chemical, hematology and therapeutic test profiles, microbiology cultures, urine drug screens, routine urine analysis and HIV screens.  And while services are often used by independent physicians for out-patient diagnosis, SML primarily contracts out lab services to psychiatric, rehabilitation and sub-specialty hospitals, nursing homes and assisted living and home health care facilities that have been approved by JCAH.
