Our Key People

Margie Solis Stoy is the Lab's 100% minority shareholder. She founded SML in 1986 and has certified SML as a Minority Business Enterprise by the Houston Minority Business Council. She has been a Medical Technologist for approximately 30 years, serves as the Lab's Director and Manager, and is registered by the American Society of Clinical Pathologies (ASCP), American Medical Technologist and certified by the U.S. Department of Health, Education and Welfare (HEW).

SML's Technical Supervisor is Samuel Llanera. He is a registered Medical Technologist under AMT, and also has approximately 30 years general laboratory experience. In addition, he is a certified Medical Radiological Technologist by the Texas Department of Health and has nine years of basic x-ray experience.

Dr. Tommy Brown, Pathologist, is the Lab's Clinical consultant and has served in that capacity since 1993. He is American Board Certified in Anatomic Pathology - Clinical Pathology, Nuclear Medicine and Forensic Pathology. He also received a BS degree in Pharmacy and a DO degree in Osteopathic Medicine. He is currently practicing in the Medical Examiner's Office of Jefferson County, Texas.

Cleve Stoy is the Lab's Vice President & Controller. He oversees much of the administrative side of SML and can assist you with almost any non-medical technical issue that may arise at SML. He is a Certified Public Accountant and an active member in the AICPA, TSCPA and the Houston Chapter of the TSCPA.
