You mentioned you would like feedback on open house.. AWESOME!  It was so helpful to have everything out on power point and the extra photos and slide show shows how very much you care about our children when they are away from us.. My life is wrapped around my kids so I do appreciate knowing they are well cared for when they aren't with me.. It is very comforting.. The information was extremely helpful since all teachers work a little differently..discipline, homework expectations..etc.. EXCELLENT job!!!!!!!

Dear Mrs. Jains,
Thank you for teaching me.  That was respectful of you.  You were good at teaching me.  I hope you do great next year.  What will you teach next year?  You did great with the class.  How do you teach so well?  I'm sorry for losing a lot of tickets.  Sorry for fooling around.  I will not be fooling around next year.  Don't worry.  I'll be good next year.

Purple pencilThank you to all Mrs. Janis' Class

I wanted to send a quick note and tell everyone from Mrs. Janis Class, thank you for all of your GREAT emails and messages. We are so happy you enjoyed the book and next year when you all are in 2nd grade look for book#2, which takes place in England! Only a couple more weeks of school left, so have a FANTASTIC summer and always remember... ANYTHING'S FOSSIBLE!!!

Purple pencilDear students in Mrs. Janis' class,
We read your comments about the Blue Band. Thank you for sending them. The trumpet players like it that you think they're super. Thank you for being such a good audience. You looked very grown up and mature. We wish you could join our Band, and have a nice summer.

Purple pencilHi Mrs. Janis,

My name is Heather Rancourt, I am one of the authors of The Fossibles, Bursting from Extinction to Distinction. I am also the creator of these characters. I found your site and saw that the class is reading the book. I would love to know their thoughts and what they liked, loved, and any other information they are willing to tell!
I really hope you and your class enjoyed the book!
Sincerely,
Heather Rancourt

Purple pencilHi Nancy-
What GREAT information!!!! I absolutely love the fact that they are all into the book. I have done a couple shows at schools for kids and when I told them they could go onto the website and see the characters they too were also amazed at what everyone looked like. A little bit of info for you, Joan and Clem are my in-laws and the pictures were drawn from them. They really live in Southington, so who knows maybe some kids will run into them!!!

I was wondering if I could also use your email as a testament for the Fossible book from an educator? Please let me know. After the kids finish the book if they could post messages on my message board that would be great. Also I would be more then happy to come by and see the class/school.

Thanks again to all of you!!!!
Heather

Subject: Chair covers

Hi!
Thank you for both the gift certificates and the letter with the special customer number. I will make good use of both. I have used the two chair covers in my classroom since you gave them to us. We rotated them around the classroom on a daily basis. They are both still in excellent shape and the children really enjoyed using them. I personally love the "fabric" and the construction. They definitely helped the student using it to keep organized. I was afraid that they wouldn't stay put on the plastic molded chairs in my classroom, but that was not a problem at all. What a great product! By the way, I have added a link to your site on my classroom web site. Check the "This Week in 1-J" page.

I did enjoy the DVD and was very impressed with the voices on some of those featured kids. They had great stage presence.

I just loved your performance in the play.  What talent! My husband and I were there Sat. night and were completely blown away by the show. I'm looking forward to next year's performance!  Take care.

My apologies for not being able to speak to you on Saturday night.

It was my pleasure. I enjoyed it immensely.Side note....I was one of the animators on "Mr. Morton" and I have a cell in my office. Believe it or not Mr. Morton was not one of the original School House Rock cartoons. It was part of a plan to bring the educational cartoons back to ABC. This was one of 2 cartoons handed to JJ Sedelmaier Animation Studio (My first job out of college). (Busy Prepositions was the other) I believe there were 2 other studios that were involved in the revitalization, there were 6 cartoons total added to the ensemble in the late 90's. Once agian thanks for inviting me I loved it,and I know that my mother would have loved to come if she were still here.

that. All the kids were great. We had a nice afternoon.

Nancy- Thanks for the kind words! I truly had a much needed wonderful time. I actually had my 2 year year old niece and 1 year old nephew there at the last minute (they live in Vernon and came down for pizza with my father)....they had a ball also. YOU GUYS DID A FANTASTIC JOB! Sorry I had to leave so quick....had an art auction for United Way and had to scoot out as I am their VP. Break a leg with the rest of the performances.

you're a novice?
Great job on a site that shows a lot of love and
dedication to what you do, and especially who you
do it for - the kids!
