2.  Chapter Pretest---during each chapter the students will have the opportunity to print a pretest off of my website which outlines all skills that will be covered during the chapter.  The pretest will be available on my website at least 1 week prior to the date of the chapter test.  All of the types of questions covered on the pretest will also be covered on the actual test given after the chapter is completed and the chapter test will be the same length as the pretest.  Any student that prints the pretest, completes it and hands it in WITH ALL WORK SHOWN no later than the day of the actual test, will earn an extra 5% on their chapter test.  (i.e.---if the student gets a 75% on their Chapter 1 test but completed the pretest and turned it in, he/she will actually earn an 80% on the Chapter 1 test).  Students who take the time to do this pretest for each chapter generally have a much easier time on the actual tests. The answers to the pretest will also be available on my website in order for the students to self-check their pretest and to help them determine how ready they are for the test.
