Plein Air and Studio Paintings
So what's a plein-air painting? Plein-air painters
work outdoors in the field--from living objects, on location, to capture the depth, color, and light of a moment in nature.
Whereas studio painting often takes place over a longer period of time over several 'sessions' using larger
canvases, plein-air paintings are small jewels often completed in the field in one session.
In addition to the original oils, all paintings are available as limited edition Giclee’ prints on canvas. Each edition is limited to a maximum of 25. The Giclee’ process uses state-of-the-art
archival dyes printed on the same type of canvas (bonded to archival board) that the original oils are painted on.
Photographs
Most
of the photographs on this website are printed on Fuji Crystal Archive paper, laminated for UV protection,
and mounted on museum board. The original image is either a 4X5 transparency
photographed with a Wista field camera or a 2 ¼ transparency photographed with a Hasselblad medium format camera. Each image is signed and limited to an edition of 20. In general, mounted
and matted 20X24 prints are $300; 16X20 prints are $250; and 14X14 prints are $200.
As the edition sells out, prices may increase.

Cards are also available, featuring any of the images on this website. Each card is handmade using
a quality print made on an Epson inkjet printer, mounted on embossed card stock, signed by the artist, and presented
in a glassine sleeve with a matching envelope.
