I had a really big research project to do! It was on a scientific break-through. If you're not blind, you can't imagine the trouble I was having finding a topic that would have a lot of info in accessable form or on the net in sites not loaded with graphics! What ever would I do? Well, I finally came up with a solution! Believe it or not, I managed to think logically for two seconds! I emailed my childhood opthalmologist. I explained to her what I had to do, I asked her if she could tell me about a big break-through in eye treatment or blindness in children. She came through for me! I am so greatful to her! I could never have managed! Anyway, this page is a result of that project!
This article was inspired by a site I visited in the process of colecting research materials. The woman had ROP and she was very visually impaired. She had articles about blindness, so I thought I'd follow her lead!
