Paranormal Orbs in the House of 'Alice'

An orb is a spherical body. It sounds like an innocent word. Imagine my amazement when my editor asked me if anything unusual happened in the house where Alice was filmed. I first negated the thought and suddenly sat up in bed in the middle of the night. Yes!

Three years ago, I had taken in a friend who was determined to move to a shelter because of emotional abuse at home. She and her children slept in my bedroom and I moved to a spare room. A year later, after they had moved into an apartment, the young girl had committed suicide. It was an enormous emotional tragedy. All loved the young girl and wished they could have known how troubled she was. She had wanted to be an actress, and I had once taken her to an audition for CINDERELLA. She was cast as a dancer but never was able to enjoy the experience. It was all so sad. This beautiful, sweet, intelligent, charming young girl had taken her own life.

The night before the funeral, where I was again back in my room, I awoke with a start and looked up to see my young friend sitting on the cedar chest. Curls framed a happy smile. She had worn her hair straight in this life. I was stunned. She calmly said, "Don't worry, I'm alright."

The next day at the funeral, I told her mother and grandmother of my experience. I'd hoped it was reassuring. The loss of a child is devastating beyond words.

Two years later... I had used that house I had lived in for Alice's house. I had "destroyed" it for the film. The only paranormal experience in this house was related to the child who had come to me on that special night. I wished that I could see her again. I had experienced regression hypnosis at one time and was always hoping to connect with a psychic at various seminars but was never singled out. Perhaps they were listening after all.

The orbs bounce and dance in different directions during the scene where Daddy is reaching out for Alice's hand, prior to putting her in the closet. It is a quiet moment after a violent conflict over the death of Alice's mother. We saw the orbs when the color-correcting lightened the scene.

So had this lovely girl come back? The orbs did not seem frightening. Was she interested in our movie or it's emotional plot? Did she relate the movie's story trauma to her life? Was she coming back to me? Or, were the orbs many souls from my past or the other actor's past that had come through the window? I'll never know the answers but I truly now believe there is some spiritual life after death. You may see the theory of orbs as a light aberration, but we decided that light aberrations would not change directions so determinedly. These orbs seem to have a power of their own.

So Alice has new meaning and revelations, perhaps for you too now.
