The Roosevelt-Humphrey Day Dinner

The Roosevelt-Humphrey Day Dinner was started the year after ADA's founding in 1947, to honor leading liberal fighters in the struggle for better working conditions for all Americans. The Dinner brings together elected officials, union leaders and ordinary members, and politically orientated liberals to discuss the struggle and to renew the ties that bind us all together.

In 2005 we are honoring Joseph Hansen, president of the United Food and Commercial Workers. The Dinner will be held on May 5th, at the Grand Hyatt Hotel. Stuart Appelbaum, president of the Retail, Wholesale, and Department Store Workers Union, is chairing the Dinner. For information on attending the dinner or purchasing an ad in the dinner journal, please contact NYC ADA at (212)-367-8883.
