Comments by a very interested party - Mrs. Bobby Bare
I'm not too sure why I was asked to write these liner notes. Maybe it has something to do with the album's title song. The words go: "What are we going to do about your husband? What are we going todo about your wife?" And then maybe somebody said, "Let's have your wife write the liner notes before this thing gets out of hand." Bobby Bare and Skeeter Davis have been singing love songs to each other for a long time. As long as they cut hit records, I think it's great. 'Your Husband, My Wife' is a hit; so are all the songs on this album. Bobby and Skeeter enjoyed doing the album and I'm sure you'll sense their enjoyment when you listen. There's one song I particularly like called 'A Truer Love You'll Never Find' written by a very good Nashville composer, Red Lane. I have to close now and get back to moppin' the floors, tendin' the children - eeeek! the boys just broke a lamp, so - pick up the pieces of a favorite lamp, cook supper, run the vacuum, dust, wash, iron, grocery shop, tune Bobby's guitar, change the linens - oh! the boys just broke an ash tray - - pick up the pieces of a beautiful ash tray, bring the oldest off-spring home from school, set the table and be fresh as a daisy when Bobby Bare comes home after singing all day with our good friend Skeeter Davis.
