While on Inventory for the USFS.. I was ambushed by a herd of pigs on th Dean's Ridge Trail...   Not, what you want to experience in the Wilderness..     LATEST TRAIL NEWS   TTC signs trails contract with Corp of Engineers to begin trail maintenance and construction of 2 new bridges to access the Easy Rider Trail.   TTC begins repairs to Mt Nebo State Park trail system hit hard by 14" of snow and the 12" rain overwhelmed the trail system causing washouts and downed trees.   Put the finishing touches on the Ozark National Forest Wilderness Management Plan     Currently working on a proposed 20+ mile mt. bike trail system. This proposed trail system will include a 2 beginner trails, 2 intermediate trails and 3 expert trails with a Epic Ride here in Arkansas. Delayed due to election year       EQUESTRAIN'S LOSE BATTLE Trail user rule change made at   Village Creek State Park  ALLOWS MOUNTAIN BIKES on the Equestrian Trails.   This State Park is designed and built for the Equestrian's. This change in Trail policy is DANGEROUS and unwanted.     OZARK NATIONAL FOREST NEWS   Ozark National Forest OHV's trail maps can be down loaded from www.fs.fed.us/oonf/ozark/index.html   There are only 4 trails open to OHV's.   Mill Creek Brock Creek Moccasin Gap Huckleberry Mtn   All trails on the ONF OHV's Trail Map are FS roads that are open to OHV's use.         Gunnison National Forest News     Crested Butte Mountain Bike Association Presented the 5 year Mountain Bike Trails Construction Plan to the Gunnison National Forest. PLAN WAS REJECTED Gunnison National Forest NEW Travel Management Plan will close 143 miles of mt. bike trails in the Crested Butte area.   Deer Creek will be closed this year to mt. bikes.     Crested Butte Mountain Bike Association opposes the High Country Citizens Alliance M2M wilderness proposal in the GMUG National Forest in Colorado.     M2M proposal in GMUG National Forest to expand wilderness areas. Closing 600 miles of bike trails and future bike trails.       OTHER TRAIL NEWS     Allowing Mt.
