JUSTINE LIMPUS PARISH
has worked in the fashion industry as a fashion illustrator, art director, educator,
designer and holds a BFA in Painting and Drawing.
Justine created the Fashion Dept. at the Academy
of Art University in San Francisco and served as it's first Dept Chair.
She was Art Director for Liberty House of California. Justine has
also been a free-lance fashion illustrator in San Francisco and Los Angeles. She
is the illustrator of "Color with Style" by Donna Fujii and author/illustrator
of her own textbook "Drawing the Fashion Body".
Designer of her own special occasion clothing line, Justine's most
extravagant pieces have been shown at a variety of art to wear fashion shows.
She was twice awarded Best of Show at DESIGNED TO WEAR. She has exhibited in
the 20th Anniversary edition of the FAIRFIELD FASHION SHOW, is a participant
in the new BERNINA FASHION SHOW ,and is the winner of the NICHE AWARD 2000 FOR
CLOTHING. One of her award winning pieces appears in the gallery section of FABRIC
ARTISTRY, a Singer Design Series book. She also has a piece in the 2005 Exhibition
and catalog ARTWEAR: FASHION & ANTI-FASHION. Justine currently shows her collection at
her primary showroom in Los Angeles, Cicada in San Francisco and other specialty boutiques in the USA.
She has taught fashion at a
number of Southern California colleges, and is currently on the fashion dept. advisory
councils of three Los Angeles colleges. Justine teaches "Fashion Drawing" & "Costume Design"
at Art Center College of Design, "Fashion Model Drawing" at Otis School of Fashion Design, located in the Cal Mart in
downtown LA., and "Fashion Illustration" at Mt San Antonio College in Walnut, CA
