The Artists of Madison County is a small group of artists that get together to encourage and support each other in our goals as artists. We are diverse in our age and our experience. Everywhere from high school to senior citizen - amateur to professional. We meet for workshops, lectures, demonstrations & just to get together to share whatever we are working on. Our meetings are a fun relaxing time to bring your art for critique. Our critiques are designed to encourage and build up the individual while at the same time try to offer any comments that will help the artist accomplish their goals.

We are presently getting together for plein aire painting. We are meeting the second Thursday each month at 6:00pm at different locations throughout the Madison County area.

MAY 8th Paint Out 6:00pm at Cowling Park in London, Ohio is our next gathering.

We are very informal... mostly here to enjoy art & each others company. If you prefer not to paint something on site bring what you are working on and enjoy working on it in the park. We will stay until it gets too dark to continue... but feel free to show up / leave as your time allows.

In case of rain we will still meet at the park. We may end up going to Ronetti's depending on what everyone wants to do.

JUNE 12th Paint Out

We will meet at Alice Kennedys place. This is a wonderful opportunity for a wide variety of subject matter. Wetlands, farmland, chickens, etc. More to follow with a map.

JULY 10th Paint Out

Rich Stanton has got permission for us to paint at the OSU wetlands. Rt. 38 & Arbuckle Rd. This is an excellent place to paint. A few of us had been there about 5 years ago, somewhat got rained out after the first hour or so, but still were able to finish with some nice work. More to follow with a map.

We have a good possiblity for an area for August, any other ideas are welcome. We hope to have our schedule filled through October.
